The Screwtape Letters with Screwtape Proposes A Toast by C.S. Lewis. First published in volume form in Great Britain in 1942, this edition illustrated with the illustrations from the 1979 William Collins edition by Papas. The book takes the form of 31 letters from Screwtape, an urbane elder statesman of the underworld to his nephew, a novice devil, on how to procure the soul of a young Christian.
